i bought an oculus rift boys.

i bought it ages ago tbh but forgot to mention it. even though i ordered a while back, my estimated shipping time is july. although a recent email said that might change when they weed out the fake orders.

in other news my car build is almost done. just have a few more things i want to put on her (kw v3 coils, stage 2+ tune, high flow fuel pump, new ic, full turbo back system and a high flow cat) and that will be the rocco complete!

im super excited for oculus though. some peoples orders have started to ship already, makes me pretty jealous having to wait like 4 months for mine!

@jewwy - that second multi is sick.. my EPL betting this season is fkd cos of Leicester/West Ham/Chelsea. Ive been finding NBA betting way easier

@muri - what does an Oculus rift do?

its a virtual reality headset. my sister has the samsung vr headest which she got with her s7 and its pretty fun, oculus is a dedicated version of that.

they are released on the 28th of march and i assume stores will have a version for people to try and order

i woulda got the htc vive that comes with those 2 controllers for each hand. tell us how it is when you get it muri

i did a lot of research jon and the major difference for me between the oculus and the vive would be that the oculus has less of a screen door effect in comparison to the vive. also, the oculus contorllers have sensors around it so it recognizes hand gestures. for example, when ewearing the controller and you gesture a thumbs up, this is picked up by the device and translates your hand movements into the game so you can for example point or open your hands and that is shown in game. i really thought that was an awesome feature.

Yeah I've done NBA as well but haven't really hit anything on it.

I'm waiting for the MLB to start next month, baseball seems to be the best thing to bet on after pulling out a couple of thousand last season.

Haven't seen that 50K challenge sepcifcally but there's heaps around, I'm not a fan of dropping massive amounts on single game; did it once and lost 1k so never again for me.

The 50k challenge is where they turn $50 into $50,000 over a period of about 15 bets. They post up their bets and wins etc. If you want in, they run some scheme where you have to pay $100 and theyll share their tips with you in time.

I havent touched MLB.. but seeing as NBA will have a 5 month break, and the EPL is wrapping up soon, i'll probs be on AFL and ______ .

Haha^^ whats been happening boys? Ive been smashing The Witcher 3, I think I'm a bit over dota atm! Also thinking about getting into Magic The Gathering card game too! Simply cause I love that sort of shit!

I've started working two jobs, got one working as a casual at the airport for some private airline, towing the private jets, escorting clients and in general just kind of doing a bit of everything! this one has been pretty fun so far.

The other one my dad set me up with, sent my CV to a friend of his and got a job as a junior CA at his construction company working 2 days a week and can do 3 if i ever feel like it. That one is pretty boring, it's a desk job helping out anyone who needs it, mainly just been helping out with putting together peoples reports so far. Only get paid $20 an hour at this one but am basically only doing it to get a bit of experience to aid in getting a job after japan, so... whatever.

Regarding japan, the people at the lodge i stayed at have offered me a job! still need to set the date i fly over but it will probably be around last day of November/first week of December. I get accommodation, breakfast and ski pass covered for the whole time I'm there only having to work two 8 hour shifts a week whilst the rest i can spend boarding or doing whatever i want! so that's pretty exciting, will spend about 2 months on the slopes and then travel around japan in the remaining month

Sounds like a dream Stork. Sounds like a promising future! You are going to need to keep us updated on your trips around japan doe.

I have just been doing the 9-5 grind as a psych. Enjoying it a lot. Feels good working in the field you studied in. Does not even feel like work on some days. Otherwise, been playing wow, not as much just 1-2 nights a week to raid and thats it.

@aza - What sort of work are you doing man?

I'm on a kind of lecture break atm, got 2 weeks off for 3/4 of my classes so i'm getting some time to chill. Got exams in just over 2 weeks tho so got plenty to do plus assignments. Working 4 nights a week now and basically at a financial stand still, spending just as much as i earn a week just on food and bills.

Finally getting on top of my classes tho, went from struggling really hard in math to a 95%, top of the class on the last test.

Only really play counters-strike and Kerbal Space Program when i get some free time

6 weeks without net was painful

Had my toilet and bathroom renovated, meant to be 2 weeks but took 6. QLD tradies are lazy at times haha. Looks all good and done

Having no pc or anything but my PS4 on shared internet was painful but back in time for long weekend has made up for all of it, need to catch up on all the things!

Yeah math is like that, kinda just clicks and you begin to understand it all. i went from getting 50% on the dot on all my high school math units to a high 80% average in all my uni ones
