Still struggling with my knee to get bend back in her, I'm inching to around 60 degrees of flection in my 3rd full week out of the brace, its progress I guess. It gets real stiff and sore after a 3 days of walking and rehabing. The medial feels like a thick web of mashed up scar tissue dogshit, it coupled with crippling knee pain and tightness is severely inhibiting the bend. I'm on the stationary bike, I go exactly snails pace for nearly half a revolution then back the other way, feels awful on my patella.

That's probably a bit hard to hear when you've got crippling sciatic pain tho..

Lol yeh medial recovery is awful business. Shouldn't be loading your patella too much unless your ITB is real tight, which is hard to imagine with the limited loading its had, but it will be ok, how long has it been since the initial injury now?

I will keep bashing the thymosin until the end of week 10, so a bit to go yet. If it gets worse after the cycle, then I will try the cortisone into the surrounding tissue. I have no real faith in that paying off but worth a crack I think. It might be worth having another crack at it with thymosin in a few months time!

Physiotherapy. Just slowly trying to increase movement very gradually.

Prep update

Finished jacos powerlifting program this week. I went pretty good. Gained 20kg on my deadlift 1rm and 15kg on my bench. I am bigger in the arms, shoulders, back and legs. I have gained a lot of fat, according to the inaccurate digital scale at work 5% bf putting me at 23% currently.

I have been slowly increasing the calories from 2700 - 3200 and am currently cycling between the two on lifting and non lifting days to curb the fat gain.  For the next 4-6 weeks I am starting German Volume Training on the same number of calories to transition from powerlifting to more bodybuilding sort of work.

Also i am leaning towards getting the help of a coach, namely these guys

I have heard some good stuff from other people and after browsing through a few pictures am pretty happy with what I see. Don't know how much its going to cost me though. Will find out on Saturday.

In other news I have regrown my terrorist beard from 2012 and have started my honors program in psychology

Good luck aza, can't hurt having a coach for your first rodeo, could probably befriend someone inline who could help you? I'm severely opposed to paying people to do anything for me I can't do myself... But that's just Jacob and I

Edit: I have eaten my way through the north coast and south east Queensland on holidays. I've reached critical mass. @jacob, I went to that pissening all you can eat breakfast spot just off cavill avenue....still pissening

Edit: my knee is slowly improving, I'm swimming now, so hopefully the movement and mobility just flows from here

So update on the fucking knee. I've got about 50% total mobility back, walking is fine, 1/2 squats, I can sort of cheat up stairs like step up through my hamstring and cslf as opposed to a traditional half lunge action, going down stairs in still brutal it feels like my knee is strapped with strapping tape like my ligament is stopping full movement because its all a thick mesh of scar tissue dogshit, but its been improving very slowly every week, so just gotta keep grinding and hustling.

Started training legs tonight, dude I'm telling y'all fuck arms, fuck chest....training legs is the G.O.A.T, you can't fuck with a good leg workout. I do a superset 6 of the most pissening half box squats through intense patella discomfort and 40 kg stiff leg deadies...... There's no chance I'll be able to walk on Saturday, I'll be stiff as shit.

I'm dyingggggggg to play basketball again. Looking around 8-10 weeks I think, no rush.
